The Harjaselän kennel is a creation of three ridgebacks, me - Sanna Alkio & my ex-partner
Pasi Hännikäinen. Today we are a 100% feminine pack, living in Southern Finland in a little,
quiet town of Lohja. My "lion girls" are members of the family - they grew up and live at home
with me.

The ridgeback adventure of ours started seven years ago with Olga (Kingiza Azizi Kito), our
ridgeless bitch. At that time we just looked for a nicely tempered companion Rhodesian
ridgeback. The thought of going to the show or breeding has never crossed our minds back then.
Next came Iita (Ikimba Marimba) and time after time we started to enjoy showing her more and
more. It became our hobby.
Sirii (Ikimba Persinna) joined our gang in the spring of 1999. A very promising young lady,
she also started her showcareer, which is progressing very nicely.
Throughout these pages you will find more about me and my ridgebacks. We are glad to have you
